Juarez takes summer visits

Mique Juarez finished the school year well and he's taking some summer school classes so he can be an early enrollee.

"He's done a pretty good job of focusing on school and finishing really strong at the end of the school year," Torrance (Calif.) North coach Todd Croce said. "He's taking a couple of summer school things so he can graduate at the semester."
Where Juarez lands next remains the biggest question.
The five-star outside linebacker and top-rated player in California by Rivals.com has been committed to USC for months but he has made it no secret that he's also seriously looking at UCLA and others as his recruitment continues.
A couple weeks ago, Juarez spent a good deal of time at the USC Rising Stars Camp. The next day he and some family members popped up at the UCLA Elite Camp and time with coach Jim Mora and some current players on the practice field.
USC still has his commitment and Juarez has given no public indication he's at all prepared to back away from the Trojans but he has shown a lot of interest in UCLA as well.
According to Croce, his star player is giving every school a fair shake and does not want to shut any team out this early, knowing so little about some of them.
Juarez has said in the past that Nebraska also intrigues him and he's planning a visit there especially since he has such a good relationship with assistant coach Trent Bray.
"He's really just trying to be open without going in thinking, 'This is what I thought before without knowing anything,' and what he liked," Croce said. "He's truly genuine in his acceptance that there could be a place he doesn't know anything about but it's a great place.
"He's very high on the two local schools though.
"We've had a handful of kids that have gone on and played and come back to the school and they told him the one thing they regret is they didn't take all their trips, they didn't see it all the way through, they made their decision too quickly. He's held onto that. It's a tough process."
