Jr. RB with a bunch of offers

In an area that is absolutely loaded next season Giovanni Bernard will be one of the most sought after players from South Florida in the Class of 2010. Bernard, 5-10 and 198, is a running back from powerhouse St. Thomas (Fla.) Aquinas High School. They are 10-0 on the season and Bernard is a dozen yards shy of 1,000 and he has 15 touchdowns.
"I think I have played well," Bernard said. "The best thing about me and my style of play is my vision and power. I also have some quickness. I need to work on being more patient and letting things set up better. I know that will come."

One thing you also have to look at as well is his running back mate, James White. The two share time in the backfield and they are also very close off the field.
"We are like best friends. I met him my 8th grade year. We got to know each other through football and baseball. He's real good and I wish him the best. Always."
According to Bernard he has scholarship offers already from West Virginia, Rutgers, Boston College, Auburn, Florida International and Miami. For Bernard, he's flattered at the early attention.
"Man there's a long way to go. You know as a kid you are not used to this stuff. Right now I am open to anyone. I am looking for a great place for me. I am looking for great coaches that can teach me about football and about life. I want a good position coach and head coach that will always be there for me. I just want to be comfortable both on and off the field with whatever school I pick."
St. Thomas Aquinas plays Coconut Creek in the first round of the state playoffs this weekend.
