Joyner has SEC interest

SEFFNER, Fla.- Outside linebacker prospect Sergio Joyner of Armwood High is still waiting on his first scholarship offer, but a Southeastern Conference power recently has been communicating to him that he is on their radar.
"A coach from Auburn (area recruiter Greg Knox) has been sending me text messages," Joyner said. "He said to call him. He also said that he watched my film and that he likes the way that I play."

The 6-foot, 190-pounder was happy to hear from the Tigers.
"That would be one of the schools that I want to go to," Joyner said.
In addition to Auburn, Joyner is interested in Florida, Florida State, Central Florida, South Florida and Miami (Fla.).
Joyner was an All-Suncoast selection during his junior year. He plays defensive end in high school and had 27 quarterback hurries. Because of his size, he will have to stand up and play linebacker in college.
"All of the coaches I have been talking to want me to stand up and play linebacker in college," Joyner said in a previous interview with Rivals.com.
