Josh Pinkard Reaffirms Commitment

Oxnard (Calif.) Hueneme athlete Josh Pinkard committed to USC over a month ago but said it wouldn't be 100% solidified until he took his visit this weekend.
"I'm reaffirmed my commitment, I'm going to USC," Pinkard said. "Before I made it 100% solid, I just wanted to see how the visit went, kind of see how comfortable I would be and how I interacted with the players. I’ve been to a lot of the games already so I knew the school and coaches pretty well. It just felt like home to me so this morning before I left, I talked to coach Carroll and coach Orgeron and told them I was coming and that I would definitely be a Trojan.

“USC is a great school and it has everything I could ever want. The trip was great, I had the best time. Jason Leach was my host but all the players hung out together. We toured the campus, watched the team practice and went out to the City Walk. Saturday night, we ate at Papadakis’ restaurant and that was a lot of fun. That’s where Michael Bumpus committed and then we tried to work on Ted (Ginn) but he’s a pretty quiet and shy kid so I really have no clue what he’s thinking.”
Pinkard, 6-1, 200 pound safety, said he still have visits set with UCLA (Dec 19) and Oregon (Jan 9) and would like to take them just for the fun of it.
“USC told me they don’t care if I take them,” Pinkard said. “I want to take them just for the fun of it, the trips have been a lot fun to go on but I know I’m going to USC so the other schools might not want me to visit. It’s kind of up to them.”
