Joseph going down to the wire

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) defensive back Vincent Joseph said he has three schools he's still considering, one in the lead and added that he'll wait until Signing Day before pulling the trigger.
Joseph, 5-9, 180 pounds is one of the top cover corners in the west this year. He took official visits to Washington State, Colorado and Oregon and several unofficial visits to USC.

"My final three are Washington State, USC and Oregon," Joseph said. "I'm leaning pretty good to Washington State right now and if I had to decide right now, it would be Washington State.
"I loved my visit there, I like all the coaches a lot and I think I would have a great chance to play early there. They do a very good job with their defensive backs and have put a lot of corners in to the league (NFL) the last few years."
After his visit to Oregon, Joseph told he was leaning big to the Ducks and was planning to commit to the Ducks at the CaliFlorida Bowl in late December.
"They just started filling up with corners," Joseph said. "Not only that, I totally stopped hearing from those guys. Don Pellum (UO LB coach) was at Poly today and we talked about that. He said he thought I had dropped them because they read where I had said they were slipping because of all the DBs they were bringing in.
"He told me they still have a spot for me and I still like Oregon but it's a longshot right now. With USC, they're still talking to me but I never did get an offer in writing. Things are kind of like they have been for the last few months, they talk to me all the time and tell me I'm close to getting an offer but I still haven't seen it.
"I'm going to wait until signing day to make my decision. I may either do something on Fox or just do something smaller at my high school. At Poly, every year the seniors get together and sign their letters of intent at the same time so I may do that. It's really between Washington State and USC right now but it's looking good for the Cougars at this time."
