Jordan talks RU visit

Four-star Ellison Jordan has been making the rounds lately. A number of major programs continue to offer the defensive tackle from Baltimore (Md.) Gilman School as he takes trips to see which schools will make his short list.
On Saturday, Jordan visited Rutgers.

"It was good," said the 6-foot-2, 270-pound Jordan. "We toured the campus and saw the academic side. They have good academic support. I met with coach Panagos. He's a really good coach has a lot of experience, put a lot of guys in the league and seems like a good mentor. It's a really good coaching staff."
While it sounds like the coaches made a good impression, there was something else that Jordan really liked.
"The academic side stood out to me," he said. "We walked through the communications program. They showed me a list of all the internships they help me get in the Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York area. The cousins I stayed with in Scotch Plains are right there so we learned a lot about that."
With multiple visits already under his belt, Jordan is already thinking about his next trips.
"I came back from Penn State last weekend and then we went to Rutgers today," Jordan said. "I'm trying to get up to Ohio State and Michigan State. I don't know about after that."
Jordan helped Gilman to an eight win season as a junior.
