Jones updates decision timeframe

Cincinnati (Ohio) Northwest linebacker Rasheen Jones has been aiming to make his college selection at the end of his junior school year, and class ends for the three-star prospect this week.
"It will be a little bit later on, but definitely this month," Jones said. "My last day of school is tomorrow."

Last month, Jones listed a top two of West Virginia and Cincinnati, but said this week he still has his "options open." Still, those two programs would have to be considered the teams to beat with an upcoming trip to Morgantown looking like an important moment in his recruitment.
"We'll be headed off to West Virginia in the next couple weeks," Jones said. "I'm just excited to see the campus now so I can get a feel for it ahead of my making my commitment."
Jones will also be visiting Illinois in the coming weeks, and is still looking for an offer from the Illini. He has an offer from Kentucky, and just returned from one of their camps.
"I didn't make it all the way through because I pulled my hamstring a little bit," he said. "I haven't done much with football since I got done with track.
"It is a very beautiful campus and I like how the coaches coach."
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Jones has already made numerous visits to the hometown Cincinnati Bearcats and said he maintains close contact with their coaching staff. So, the stage is set for Jones to make his decision later this month.
