Lamar Consolidated is home to one of the NFL's best offensive lineman in Pittsburgh Steeler Alan Faneca.
This season, it's also home to one of the state's high school offensive lineman in 6-7, 255-pounder Jarvis Jones.
While Jones has not been offered by Faneca's college alma mater LSU, he soon will be. He should have several national offers by the end of spring as the Jarvis Jones-sweepstakes begins.

"Jarvis just keeps filling out," Lamar coach said. "He's aggressive and has a mean streak in him. He doesn't have any favorites right now and he'll be weighing all of his options when the time comes."
Schools that have offered include Baylor, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Oklahoma State to date.
Jones has been invited to the the Nike Combine at College Station in weeks to come.
