Jones talks USC and visits

Jarvis Jones is one of America's top defensive prospects. This four-star prospect from Columbus (Ga.) Carver High School visited Southern Cal this past weekend. It was his first official visit and he came away very impressed with the Trojans.
"It was a great visit," Jones said. "The players, the program and the coaches were just great. It was also great to see how they do things.

"I have to admit, L.A. was a little different for me but I really liked it and it's something I could get used to. The game atmosphere was great too. It was like going to an SEC game. The atmosphere was crazy."
Jones, 6-3 and 226 pounds, is scheduled to visit LSU this weekend. After checking out Baton Rouge he wants to wait until the playoffs end before he makes official visits three, four and five.
"We have one more game and then the payoffs begin. I will likely wait until after that. I know I will visit Georgia and Florida for sure. My last visit could go to Miami. I was supposed to visit them after LSU but decided to wait. I also like Texas. We'll see. Right now I just want to focus on finishing the season strong and the playoffs."
Carver plays Columbus (Ga.) Northside to close out the season this Friday. They are 7-2 on the year.
