Jones still wide open

Dunnellon, Fla. running back Rodney Jones had a solid showing at the Tallahassee NIKE camp back in May. Since then he's picked up three offers and is beginning to hear from several other big time programs.
"I have gotten calls from Iowa and Arkansas so far this month," Jones said. "Louisville, Kentucky and Akron have offered me, I haven't gotten a call from them yet, but they have been sending me all kinds of mail and stuff so I'm sure they'll call later this month."

The 5-foot-11.5, 190-pound Jones attended the Tallahassee NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds, ran the shuttle in 4.54 seconds, posted a 30-inch vertical jump and did 20 reps on the bench press.
"I really don't have a list of top schools right now," Jones said. "I'm really just looking at any school that wants to give me a scholarship and wants me to come and play ball for them. I'm really pretty open at this point and just hoping to have a big senior year."
As a junior Jones rushed for 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns on 118 carries. Defensively he played safety and cornerback where he collected 40 tackles and one interception.
"I want to take some official visits and get out there and see some schools and stuff," Jones said. "I want to get out there and check out some stuff and see what everything is like."
