Jones sticks with the Owls

After a late visit to Baylor, it looked like Rice commit, safety Chris Jones, was re-thinking his commitment to the Owls. His coach says that it doesn't look that way after all.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder took a Jan. 26 official visit to Baylor. Regardless, Jones' coach, Kenny Perry, says that things appear to be back on for the Owls.

"He's going to go ahead and sign with Rice," Perry said about Jones. "He'd been going back and forth. When the coaching change happened, he just wanted to just go see somebody else. He liked Baylor."
Perry said that Jones always wanted to attend Rice. That made the difference.
"He just said education-wise that he had compared the two and he always wanted to go to Rice," Perry said. "That's what he wanted to do. So that's what he did."
Jones also held an offer from Baylor and was receiving interest from Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Wake Forest.
