Jones soaks in Ohio State atmosphere

Chicago De La Salle class of 2014 offensive lineman Jamarco Jones made two camp visits to Ohio State over the summer, earning an offer from the Buckeyes during his first stop. This past weekend he was back in Columbus to take in the Buckeye's regular season finale against Michigan.
"The fans and the atmosphere of an actual game day there was amazing," Jones said. "We got to go to a prep rally before the game and just to see how many people showed up for that was crazy. It was a great game between the two teams. They both played pretty well, Ohio State made a few extra plays and came out with the win."

Jones has logged a lot of miles seeing games at Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, Northwestern and Wisconsin this fall. He ranks the Ohio State game experience near the top and is very serious about them as a potential place to continue his career.
"They've all been great, but this was probably one of the best [visits]," Jones said. "I really enjoyed my visit, got to talk with the coaching staff and I am getting more comfortable with them. This is my third time getting on campus, so it is definitely a possibility.
"I talked to them quite a bit now and I am starting to talk with Coach [Ed] Warriner more about offensive line play. I am very comfortable with the coaching staff."
A final decision for Jones is still many months off, however, and he plans to see a number of schools during the off-season, including a couple potential trips next month.
"With my basketball scheduled I'm not sure when I will be able to head out, but I possibly might make visits to Notre Dame and Wisconsin in December," Jones said. "I am going to make a lot of visits this spring and this summer I plan on going to a few places."
