Jones sets up 1st visit

Etiwanda (Calif.) receiver Marvin Jones has Cal and Oregon as his top two schools at this time and will have a chance to check out both in action when he takes his first official visit in late September.
Jones, 6-3, 180 pounds is a big time player and one of the top five receivers in the West region this year. He has size, speed, hands and can run very well after the catch.

He was a 1st team all-state underclass selection a year ago after catching 63 balls for 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns and was very impressive at the SoCal NIKE Camp as well.
On the recruiting front, Jones set up his first official visit and is close on visit No. 2.
"I'm going to take an official visit to Oregon (Sept. 29) when they play Cal," Jones said. "Those are my top two schools so that should be fun to watch them go head to head.
"I haven't set up my visit to Cal yet but I'm thinking it will be October 13 when they play Oregon State. I don't know how many other trips I'll be taking but I'm definitely excited about seeing both of those schools. I would like to commit somewhere by December so it would be good if I can take all my trips during the season if possible."
