Rest easy, Miami fans. Homestead (Fla.) South Dade running back Charlie Jones has decided after all that only one visit was enough for him.
There was some speculation after the Cal-Florida Bowl that Jones might take a visit to Florida this weekend and also look at a few other teams like N.C. State, but Jones said he’s officially shutdown the recruiting process and is a solid Miami commitment.
“I’ve always been a huge Miami fan, and I did start to miss the attention a little bit, so I thought about taking a few other visits,” Jones, who is 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds, said.
“But since I always wanted to go to Miami, I figured I better not do anything that could mess things up. I’ve kept track of Miami ever since Antrel Rolle went there, so there is no need for me to go anywhere else.”
