Jones planning Pac-12 trip

Arizona is one of the early favorites for Sheriron Jones and he's planning a trip to Tucson to meet with the coaches, see the facilities and just get a better feel for the campus.
The Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde standout is supposed to take a trip this weekend - he could take teammates Cedric Peterson and Tevita Halalilo - and Jones, a four-star quarterback, is definitely excited about the visit.

"The latest is I am probably going to Arizona this week and I could be going to ASU, too," Jones said. "That's basically it. I'm waiting for spring ball to start so a lot of these schools can come down and see me throw.
"They need to see me throw in person in order to offer. I'm just waiting on that."
The Arizona trip could be big for Jones, who looked good at the recent RCS Southern California. The Wildcats have already offered and the Rancho Verde standout is looking forward to learning more about the program overall.
"I'm very excited to go see everything," Jones said.
"I want to talk to (Rich Rodriguez), I want to see the facilities, I want to talk to the coaching staff, everything. I'm taking Cedric Peterson and Tevita so we're going to go down together. I can't wait. I want to see everything.
"I want to see what they have to offer just a couple hours away."
So far, the four-star quarterback has been offered by Akron, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Indiana and Nebraska.
Maryland, Ohio State and Washington are three of many schools that have expressed interest in coming down during spring practice. Rancho Verde starts spring ball this coming week.
