Jones lands new USC offer

Jack Jones had a phenomenal performance in the season opener this past weekend. It got even better on Monday when the 2016 four-star landed his newest offer from USC.
"Coach Tee Martin messaged me on Twitter and told me coach (Johnny) Nansen wanted to talk to me so I started talking with coach Nansen and from there I talked to coach (Steve) Sarkisian and he offered me a scholarship," Jones said.
"I'm not sure about a position but they said for sure they're going to offer me a scholarship."
The 2016 prospect from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly has now landed offers from USC, UCLA, Boise State and San Jose State.
Rated as the No. 20 athlete and the No. 198 prospect in the 2016 class by, Jones said he wants to still take his time with the recruiting process but the offer from the Trojans is definitely a significant one.
"It's pretty big," Jones said. "You can't get any bigger than SC. I'm not rushing it. I'm not going to commit."
Jones, who had a huge game on Saturday against Los Angeles Crenshaw especially at wide receiver, said the USC coaches told him they've been interested for a long time - especially since his performance at summer camp.
Plenty of other programs could start showing interest soon so the Long Beach Poly standout doesn't want to rush a decision even though he likes USC and UCLA a lot.
"When I was talking to the SC coaches they said they wanted to talk to me after the USC camp but I left too quickly," Jones said. "They just contacted me and offered.
"I'm really excited. Now I just want to keep working and get better and hopefully more colleges will see my talent."
