Jones joins teammates on southern trip

Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville offensive guard Marcelys Jones remains committed to the Ohio State University, but the four-star prospect is accompanying several teammates on a tour of southern schools this week.
"I'm just here with my teammates, getting the younger guys the exposure that they need," Jones said. "It's always about giving back to the community and giving back to the team because someone had to do that for me to get where I am at."

Fellow Glenville four-stars Marshon Lattimore and Erick Smith are on this week's trip with Jones, as are class of 2015 wide receiver Trevon Story and linebacker Milen Golden.
The first stop on the tour took place Sunday at Georgia Tech. Story and Golden picked up offers, and assistant coach David Walkosky confirmed that the Jackets have an offer for Jones as well.
Following the stop at Georgia Tech, the group from Glenville traveled to Tuscaloosa and will take part in Alabama's camp on Monday.
"I am definitely going to work out at that camp just to see where I am at," Jones said. "I know there are going to be a lot of good players down there, so I am going to see how my talent [stacks up] and see what I need to improve on."
Before heading back to their Cleveland home, the Glenville group is also considering stops at Tennessee, Kentucky and Louisville.
