He likes USC. He likes Notre Dame.
During the week, the McKinney (Texas) McKinney North four-star running back discussed with his family both schools and on Friday at the Under Armour game he decided to go with the Trojans.
""I really believe Coach Sark's vision for the team," Jones said after putting on a red Trojans cap just before kickoff on Friday.
Jones, rated as the ninth-best running back and the No. 79 prospect in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, loved the weather in Southern California and the atmosphere around the USC program.
An opportunity for playing time and the chance to play a role similar to Reggie Bush were also intriguing to Jones, the No. 10 prospect in the Texas state rankings.
Jones had been committed to Oklahoma State for months prior to reopening his recruitment in recent weeks. He is the second running back from Texas in USC's recruiting class along with four-star Cedar Hill recruit Aca'Cedric Ware.
In his senior season, Jones finished with 2,009 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns on 240 carries.
