Jones headed to the MAC

Three-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward wide receiver Quincy Jones took just one official visit during his recruitment, but it was enough for the 6-3, 185-pound pass catcher to determine where he wanted to play out his college career.
"I committed to Eastern Michigan," Jones said. "Coach English was ecstatic and said they've been waiting on it for awhile."

Jones took his official visit to Ypsilanti the weekend of dec. 2. He came off that trip with strong vibes about the Eagles and decided this month to pledge his services to head coach Ron English.
"They have been the closest coaching staff to me since my recruitment started," Jones said. "They are calling me every week - the head coach at that. They really need a big receiver like me, so I'm looking at going there and playing real early."
Jones chose Eastern Michigan over offers from West Virginia and Western Michigan.
This past fall, Jones played wide receiver and returned kicks for an 8-4 St. Edward team. He finished the season with 39 receptions and five receiving touchdowns.
