Jones focused on junior season

Sheriron Jones had a busy summer hearing from schools and landing some new offers so the last few weeks have been a nice respite for the 2015 quarterback.
The Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde standout started fall camp much earlier than most because school has already started for him, much earlier than many schools in California.

That means the last few weeks have been solely focused on the team as Jones gets ready for a big junior season.
"I haven't talked to anybody new the last few weeks because we started school," Jones said. "We've been getting ready for our first game so we have been focused on that."
So far in his recruitment, Jones has been offered by Akron, Arizona and Arizona State. The Wildcats are the latest offer for the 2015 recruit who has looked good at numerous camps in recent months including the Rivals Camp in Los Angeles.
There is some new interest but Jones really isn't focused on recruiting at this point.
"I've been hearing from (Texas) A&M and BYU is kind of a new one that's talking to me," Jones said. "I'm taking it easy right now."
A variety of other teams including Tennessee, Indiana, USC and UCLA have been showing early interest in Jones, who said he's considering unofficial trips this season but isn't sure of any yet.
"I haven't scheduled anything yet," Jones said. "I'm not really sure yet."
Moreno Valley Rancho Verde opens its season at Wildomar (Calif.) Elsinore on Aug. 30.
