Jones closer to setting up visits

Two-star running back Nigel Jones of Absecon (N.J.) Holy Spirit has spent the majority of the fall concentrating on his final high school season, but now with the end in sight, he is beginning to turn his focus on recruiting. The South Jersey running back is hoping to schedule two official visits, and is optimistic that more interest will come his way.
"Recruiting is a little slow, as most schools are waiting for the season to end," said Jones, who is 5-foot-9 and 192-pounds. "I'm getting the most interest from Minnesota, Temple and Miami-Ohio. I'm sure more will come after the season."

Earlier this fall Jones attended the Temple home game against Penn State and also a game at Delaware. He will begin to piece together more visits after his season.
"I'll take my officials after the season to Miami-Ohio and Temple," said Jones, who holds offers from Miami-Ohio, Temple and Western Michigan. "I haven't really planned all of it out yet. I want to focus on my season before I handle all my recruiting."
As Holy Spirit prepares for a state semifinal game this coming weekend, Jones is also nearing a milestone.
"I'm close to getting 1,000 yards for my season and 4,000 for my career," said Jones. "I'm healthy this year and that's the big difference. I was hurt all of last year. I'm also playing defense and returning kicks, so I've been on the field more than I ever have been in my career. I'm just bigger, faster and stronger."
Jones also discussed what he hopes to find in a program and school.
"I'm looking for a winning program that is going to give me the full college football experience," said Jones. "I'm also looking for a school that will help me get my degree."
