Jones close to second Big 12 offer

One scholarship offer has already come for Tyler (Texas) Lee offensive tackle Trevius Jones, but he could be getting closer to more.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder was offered first by Baylor. Another Big 12 school let him know this week that he could be expecting a second from the conference. In the process of all of that, Jones was planning to take an unofficial visit out of state this past weekend, but was unfortunately kept at home.

"I had planned on going to LSU, but I didn't get to go," Jones said. "My brother, the night before had a car wreck, so I stayed in town. I haven't been on any other visits yet."
Jones says he spoke with a coach at Nebraska this past week and says the Huskers may be a team to offer.
"I talked to a coach at Nebraska a couple of nights ago," Jones said. "He said he was going to watch the tapes and he may have an offer out by the end of the week."
Texas has been the long-time favorite for Jones, but behind the Longhorns, the list is wide-open.
"I don't really hold one school over the other," Jones said. "I like TCU too. I'd like to be somewhere in Texas and kind of close to home. I'm willing to go as far as Nebraska or anywhere like too though."
Jones says his only visit plans right now is an appearance at the NIKE Training Camp in late April.
