Jones adds a Michigan offer

Delvin Jones is one of the top prospects from the Sunshine State. Jones, 6-6 and 230 pounds, is from Miami (Fla.) Palmetto High School. Jones, who recently transferred to Palmetto from LaSalle High School, now has three scholarship offers. He was first offered by Tennessee. His second offer was from Ole Miss. Today Jones was offered by Michigan.
"I like the type of football that Michigan plays," Jones said. "They are a physical football team and I like physical. Michigan likes me on defense (DE). They say they like the way I get after the ball. They also like how I come off the edge.

"Ole Miss is a team that I don't know too much about. But I did watch them this (past) year against Florida and Texas Tech. And they looked good when I watched them."
Jones plays both receiver and defensive end. Last season he recorded 70 tackles and 20 sacks. He also had nine receptions for 90 yards and one score.
"The coaches (at Palmetto) said I was going to play receiver and that's what I want to play," Jones said. "I am a strong and physical receiver. I can catch the hitch and make something happen and I can get behind the defense too because I have speed (4.5 forty). Although I do know I may end up playing defensive end in college."
