Joly closing in on more offers

Junior defensive back Marcel Joly of Forestville, Md. continues to hold two offers, but now has several more schools knocking on his door. Joly believes at least a couple of these schools are close to offering and hopes to take a few visits during the winter and spring.
"Recruiting is going pretty well," said Joly, who is 5-foot-11 and 182 pounds. "Coach Franklin from Vanderbilt came down to see me two weeks ago. I've talked to a lot of other schools like Boston College, Duke, Michigan, Wake Forest and Maryland."

Joly maintains the two offers he picked up last year and believes that a couple of schools may soon join this list.
"I still have my offers from Maryland and Vanderbilt," said Joly. "I'm hoping that by next week Michigan or Duke will give me an offer. They sounded really interested when they stopped by."
During the fall, Joly's one visit was to Maryland. However, he hopes to add a few more destinations in the coming months.
"I might be going to Vanderbilt in the spring to visit Coach Franklin," said Joly. "I would also like to go to Michigan, N.C. State, Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Virginia."
During his junior season, while playing defensive back and running back, Joly finished with two interceptions, plus approximately 900 yards rushing and nine touchdowns.
"I think that my cornerback skills improved the most," said Joly, who discussed what he still hopes to improve during this-offseason. "Getting stronger, faster, learning the new plays, being a better leader and helping my teammates with plays so we can go further in the playoffs this upcoming season."
Joly will look into attending summer camps, but has yet to make any final decisions. He was also invited to the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour.
