Joiner gets third offer

Killeen (Texas) Shoemaker defensive end/linebacker Brandon Joiner certainly was a popular prospect when phone calls from coaches started on Monday. Several called and a new scholarship offer came for the talented Texan.
Colorado State, Kansas, and Baylor all put in their phone calls for Joiner. Baylor and Oklahoma State were the first two to offer, but now another team has entered the mix.

"Houston offered me yesterday," Joiner said. "I found out about it after school. I missed a phone call from coach Tony Fitzpatrick. They were just telling me that I could play ball and that he was looking at me.
"He wants me to go to Houston and do big things."
Joiner says that, as of now, he's not favoring one school over the other.
"Not really," Joiner said about favorites. "I'm just seeing what everybody has to offer me."
Kansas is a school that is coming Tuesday to watch Joiner work out in the spring. Colorado State was at Shoemaker on Monday. A decision doesn't look like it's coming down the pike any time soon.
"I want to say it will be towards the end of football season," he said. "Either then, or towards the middle part of the season will be when I commit. I'm not going to rush anything."
