Johnson visiting his leader

Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage School three-star offensive tackle Roderick Johnson is hitting the road this weekend to check out an in-state school.
"I am visiting Florida on Saturday," Johnson said.

The Gators are one of Johnson's seven offers. He also has offers from Florida International, Louisville, South Florida, SMU, UCF, and West Virginia. At this point in the process, he admits that one school stands out amongst that list.
"Florida is standing out pretty good," Johnson said. "I like the school, the offense, and the environment."
During his visit this weekend the 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive lineman wants to get a more in-depth understanding of Will Muschamp's team as well as the school itself.
"When I am there on Saturday I want to learn as much as I can about the school," Johnson said. "I want to know as much as possible about it. I want to finally get to meet everybody up there as well. I want to get to know their system a little bit."
Johnson has been in regular contact with a pair of assistants on the Florida staff.
"I have been talking with Coach (Aubrey) Hill and Coach (Tim) Davis," Johnson said. "Coach Hill has just told me that they really like me."
While Florida stands out to the South Florida prospect, he says he isn't likely to make a decision while visiting this weekend.
"I don't think so," Johnson said. "I think I will probably decide after my senior season."
Johnson mentioned an interest in visiting South Carolina and West Virginia as well.
