Johnson talks early offers

Collin Johnson recently took two unofficial visits and landed his first two offers.
The 2016 wide receiver from San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian said Sunday at the RCS Northern California that Cal and Texas have offered and the Longhorns might especially stand out because his brother, Kirk, was also offered by them and his dad, Johnnie, played there.

Texas is a major offer but Johnson said he's also seriously considering the Cal offer as well.
"I went to Cal a few days ago and I just got back from Texas," Johnson said. "I got offered by both of those schools so it's a blessing.
"They said they're really interested in me. Cal said I'm in a good position right now because all the wide receivers are going to graduate by the time I get there so they said they wanted to offer me right there."
The 2016 receiver who was offered by TCU after the camp is going to take a serious look at Texas - and said even though it's early the Longhorns definitely stand out.
A commitment might not come this early but the Johnson Bros. both said the Texas offer is huge in their recruitment.
"With Texas, my dad went there and they said it's in my blood," Johnson said. "They offered my brother and me so that was great.
"Texas doesn't really recruit in our area unless you're the best in the state so that's really a blessing for me. It's humbling knowing they want me like that. I just have to go out and show what I'm worth.
"I'm going to be patient right now. There is a good chance I could commit but I just have to talk about it with my family. I want to take it slow since I'm so young, I don't want to commit too early."
Johnson, one of the top receivers at the RCS Northern California, said he's also hearing from Michigan State, Penn State, USC and many others.
