Johnson takes in Baton Rouge

In January, at the Under Armour All-American game, five-star wide receiver Tyron Johnson brought a smile to the faces of LSU Tiger fans everywhere.
The New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton standout chose the LSU Tigers live on ESPN, and over the weekend he made his first visit to Baton Rouge as an LSU commitment. It was a nice experience.

"It was more love from the fans and the coaching staff made me feel at home," Johnson said.
The recruiting process is not over yet, but on this trip he was doing his part to help secure a few talents. He enjoyed the role reversal.
"It was good talking to guys like Torrance Gibson and trying to get them to swing to LSU," Johnson said. "He was like he understands and LSU has a shot."
In addition to Gibson, LSU commitments Xavier Lewis and Nicholas Brossette have talked about taking visits, and Johnson has stayed in touch with them as well.
"I talked to them and they said they're solid in their commitments," Johnson said.
Johnson was hosted by Brandon Harris on his visit to Baton Rouge, and spent the majority of his time talking to future teammates, coaches, and just hanging out and having a good time. One conversation he enjoyed was his talk with offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, who let Johnson know how the Tigers planned to use him in the offense.
"Coach Cameron said he'd spread me out more," Johnson said. "He's looking to get me the ball in open space."
Johnson finished the 2015 season with 94 receptions for 1,589 yards and 17 touchdowns. He is ranked a five-star prospect and No. 11 in the final Rivals100. He is the nation's No. 2 wide receiver and ranks No. 1 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Final Top 50 for 2015.
