Ft. Bend (Texas) Hightower defensive end Mark Johnson is readying himself for his senior season and many colleges are eager to see him in action this fall too.

“We’re ready for the season to kick-off,” the 6-foot, 210-pound Johnson said. “It will be here before too long.”
While Johnson and his teammates are ready for the season, several colleges are watching trying to decide whether to extend scholarship offers to the two-star defensive end.
“I’ve got several schools sending me mail,” he said. “Ohio State and Texas A&M are the two that are sending me the most stuff right now. Nebraska has been sending stuff too.”
Johnson doesn’t have a favorite school at this time.
“The schools I am hearing from are all on about the same level,” he said. “I’m not putting anyone above the others at this time. I want to keep things open so schools don’t think I’m locked in on any one place right now.”
Johnson recorded 126 tackles and 15 quarterback sacks as a junior.
“I’ll probably take my time with a decision,” he said. “I’ll find the schools I want to visit and line those up for after our season. Then I’ll go from there.”
