Johnson still solid as a rock

With the kind of scholarship offers that South Garland (Texas) High School safety Tejay Johnson racked up before committing to TCU, many thought he'd still look around after his commitment.
Johnson says that is the last thing on his mind. Since committing to the Horned Frogs in late July, the 6-foot, 185-pounder says that just one school from the Big 12 maintains contact with him. Regardless, this talented defensive back isn't soft on his decision one bit.

"I'm pretty solid with TCU," Johnson said. "I haven' thought about taking visits to be honest. Oklahoma State still talks to me a little, but not really anyone else."
Johnson says that he has watched quite a bit of TCU on television. He also saw the two losses but says something like that won't change his opinion of the program.
"They had some rough games, but we started off rough too," Johnson said. "That doesn't bother me much at all. We're 2-4 right now, but we're starting to get things going lately."
Johnson says that he believes his stats include somewhere around 60 tackles, two interceptions, a touchdown he ran back after a pick. What's kept him solid to TCU is the constant conversation he has with the coaches and how they make him feel about his decision.
"They keep in touch always," Johnson said. "They see how I'm doing, how I'm playing, and we've just got a good relationship there."
