Johnson sets visit No. 1

When we talked with Compton (Calif.) Dominguez running back Brandon Johnson a week ago, he mentioned there was a chance he would be visiting Colorado this past weekend. Johnson didn't make the visit but he has set up his first official visit for early December.
Johnson, 5-10, 190 pounds finished up the regular season last Friday with 107 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-35 win. In nine games this year, Johnson rushed for 959 yards and 21 touchdowns. He had bigger numbers as a junior but was a better back this year and many times got most of his yards on his own.

On the recruiting front, Johnson decided to hold off on taking an in-season visit after debating whether or not to visit Colorado this past weekend.
"Everything kind of came together really late and I would have felt rushed by taking it," Johnson said. "I still want to visit Colorado but I'm going to wait until our season is over. That was my plan from the beginning so I'm just going to stick with that and take my visits after the year.
"I did set my first trip to Oregon for (Dec. 1). Me and David (Ross) are going on that one together. I'm also going to visit Washington and Boise State in addition to Colorado and that will probably be it for me. I should be ready to decide sometime in mid January or so."
