Johnson remains focused on three

Galveston (Texas) Ball safety Roderick Johnson has had several schools call in September.
“I’ve gotten a lot of schools calling this month,” the 6-foot-2, 230-pound Johnson said. “It’s about the same schools that have been interested in me to this point.”

Those schools include Arizona, Arkansas, LSU, Michigan State and a few others.
“I’m really looking hard at Arizona, Arkansas and LSU,” the three-star rated safety said. “Those three have been kind of my top schools for a while.”
Johnson does not list a favorite among the three schools.
“Each of the three has good qualities about it,” he said. “I just want to get the visits set up later on and go from there. That will give me a chance to really see a school and learn more about it.”
Johnson continues to plan on making visits and a decision after his season.
“I will wait until his season is over before taking my trips,” he said. “Then I’ll look things over and make my choice.”
Johnson’s team has posted a 1-2 record this year so far, but he hopes to get things turned around.
“We’ll get it turned around,” he said. “I know we can play better than that. We’ll get our chance this week to get going.”
