Johnson ready to schedule visits

Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney standout Derrell Johnson had a roller coaster ride of a senior season. He helped his team finish with a 12-3 record and Mooney reached the state semi-finals.
However Johnson did not play in that state semi-final game as well as five other games as he battled injuries including a fractured fibia.

Now it is time for Johnson to focus on recruiting.
"I haven't scheduled any visits yet," Johnson said. "I'm going to start planning them this week."
So which schools is Johnson still thinking about?
"I'm looking at Ohio State, Michigan State, West Virginia, North Carolina, Cincinnati, and Akron.
"I had dinner with coach Narduzzi from Cincinnati (Tuesday night)."
However it's the Buckeyes Johnson talks with the most often.
"I talk with coach Hazell the most," Johnson said. "(Ohio State) hasn't offered, They're waiting on my academic stuff."
The 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Johnson played quarterback during his senior season. However he is being recruited as a wide receiver. Johnson is the No. 40 'athlete' prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings.
