Johnson ready for OSU

The second official visit is days away for Houston (Texas) Spring Woods safety Daniel Johnson.
After a trip to Texas Tech in November, the four-star defender will take in Oklahoma State this weekend as part of a big official visit weekend for the Cowboys. Johnson, the No. 12 rated safety in the country, is ready for the next school in line.

"I leave for OSU on Friday," Johnson said. "I'm very excited about that. The following week I go to Texas A&M and that's going to be it with visits. Those three are my final schools. Everybody else is pretty much out of it."
Johnson says that all three schools made his final cut for different reasons.
"Texas A&M is like right up the street from my house really," Johnson said. "Oklahoma State I'm pretty sure about what they have to offer me because I've spoken with the coaches. I liked the environment and city at Texas Tech a lot."
One concern on the mind of the 6-foot-3, 195-pound heavily recruited player has been his status on qualifying. He says that he's working hard and should have things looking up by Signing Day.
"My grades are great right now," he said. "I should be heading towards qualifying by February. That's the goal right now."
Johnson is rated as the No. 16 overall prospect in the state of Texas.
