Johnson plays the waiting game

It looks like Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney's Derrell Johnson probably won't sign with anyone on national signing day unless something changes in the next week or so.
"I haven't taken any (official) visits yet," Johnson said. "I don't have any scheduled."

Johnson said the list of schools he is interested in has not changed much.
"It's basically the same ones," he said. "Ohio State, Cincinnati, Syracuse, West Virginia, and North Carolina. I might visit one or two of them, but I'm not sure who. I'm trying to figure things out."
Johnson, who still needs to qualify academically, says he has no plans to go the prep school route.
"I won't due that," he said. "If I don't sign with anyone on signing day, I'll sign later."
The 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Johnson is the No. 40 "athlete" prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 46 prospect in the state of Ohio.
