Johnson plans unofficial visit

It did not take long for the recruiting process to heat up for 2015 Rivals250 to Watch wide receiver Tyron Johnson. The New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton standout has already received offers from the likes of LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Clemson. Most recently Utah placed an offer on the table.
Johnson has not taken any unofficial visits so far this season, but he does plan to take one to Baton Rouge this weekend.

"I think I'm going to the Texas A&M/LSU game Saturday," Johnson said. "I just want to see a good game. I just want to see what both offenses are going to do in big games with playcalling. All teams show their true colors in big games."
Both SEC programs have come after him strong and he has plenty of interest in them.
"LSU is on me pretty hard. They don't want to let their Louisiana guys get out," Johnson said. "Texas A&M has been on me since they recruited Williams. It's like a battle for Tyron Johnson."
For now though Johnson is staying away from naming any favorites.
"I don't know, a lot of schools are coming at me hard," Johnson said. "It's going to be a hard decision."
Since the start of his junior season, Johnson has not focused much on the recruiting process, and kept his eyes on the field. He continues to turn heads with his playmaking ability, and Warren Easton continues to rack up the wins.
"Our season is going great," Johnson said. "We went 8-0 and lost our last two games (of the regular season), but we're in the second round of the playoffs right now."
In round one of the playoffs, Johnson had two touchdown receptions as Warren Easton topped Bastrop 40-14. Next up is a match-up with Belle Chase. The season has not gone exactly according to the plan, but Johnson and his teammates have plenty of reasons to feel good.
"Before it started I thought we would be the no. 1 seed, but we slid to the fifth, but we still have our goal of winning a state championship," Johnson said.
