Johnson piling up early offers

New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton wide receiver Tyron Johnson has emerged as one of the top prospects in the 2015 recruiting class with early offers already on the table from Clemson, LSU, Oklahoma, San Diego State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Tulane.
With many offers already in hand, the 6-2, 180-pound receiver has not been hitting the summer camp circuit and has not any taken unofficial visits.

It is still early in the process for the 2015 standout and he does not claim any favorites at this point. However, with interest also coming from USC and others, he does plan to narrow his focus a little bit before the start of his junior campaign.
"Not really, I'm not really focused on that," Johnson said of the recruiting process. "I'm just gathering them all up and then by August I'll have my schools."
He plans to have his focus on five schools by August, and while there are not any favorites he has noticed a few schools showing him quite a bit of attention.
"Texas Tech is showing the most attention," Johnson said. "LSU and Texas A&M are showing a lot of attention. Those three."
Growing up he did not have a favorite team and at this point he is more focused on preparing for his junior year. There are a few aspects of his game he is working to improve as he prepares with his teammates.
"Getting out of my break quicker and sinking my hips," Johnson said.
What kind of work is he doing to improve?
"I'm just working out," Johnson said. "Our team has 7-on-7 like every weekend so I'm doing that."
