Johnson leads big junior class

RICHARDSON, Texas - The well is certaintly not dry after senor defensive end Ugo Chinasa leaves the halls of Richardson (Texas) Berkner high school. There are some very taleneted juniors waiting in the wings and it all starts with quarterback sensation Justin Johnson.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Johnson makes plays on the run or through the air. Projecting as a dual-threat quarterback, schools have already taken notice of his ability to change the game in many ways. However, the focus right now is not about what looks to be a strong recruiting process, but rather leading his team to victory on the field.

"We've got so many great seniors up front and the backs are making big plays," Johnson said. "That's where a lot of credit is deserved. Really, it's been outstanding play on both sides of the ball. We just make it happen."
Kansas, Baylor, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State are the first schools to send loads of mail to his house. He's not worried about when he'll grab his first offer just yet.
"It's entered my mind a little bit, but we've got a big season that hasn't finished yet," Johnson said about recruiting. "When that time comes, I'll sit down with my parents, discuss my options, and make the right choice."
Johnson describes himself as a player that gives 100 percent every down.
"If you're not going as hard as I am, I'm going to beat you," he said. "It's plain and simple."
