Johnson lands two Pac-12 offers

Deonte Johnson worked out at the recent UCLA Elite Camp and soon after the 2017 three-star defensive end landed an offer from the Bruins.
The Sacramento (Calif.) Burbank standout has also been offered by Washington State early on as his recruitment heats up headed into his junior season.

"When I went to UCLA, after the camp I took an unofficial visit," Johnson said. "They showed me around the school and showed me all the stuff they have. I talked to the coaches and they were asking about my family and they offered me after they talked to me.
"I was at practice and (Washington State) called one of my coaches. My coach put me on the phone with them and they said they were going to offer me."
It is still really early for Johnson, who said he's not really hearing from many other programs, but UCLA does stand out at this point.
The Northern California prospect who is 6 feet 5 and 225 pounds said he loves the coaching staff there, really enjoyed the campus and if he had to pick a leader it would be the Bruins.
But Johnson reiterated that he's nowhere near making a decision yet.
"I thought it was a great school," Johnson said. "I like it a lot. I was impressed by all the championships they won and the history of the school.
"If I had to have a favorite right now it would be UCLA but I'm not making any choices. I'm not going to commit. I'm not making any choices but if I had to have a favorite it would be UCLA."
