Johnson impressed by MSU unofficial

Recently running back Darius Johnson out of Highland Park, Mich. took an unofficial visit to Michigan State. The 6-foot-0, 200-pounder had a good visit with the Spartans, but still has no favorites at this time.
"It was a nice visit to Michigan State," he said. "They had real nice facilities and a great weight room. The school overall was really good too and I got to talk with the running back coach a lot on my visit. My conversation with him went really well and I enjoyed myself."

Michigan State is just one of many schools recruiting the Michigan native along with Wisconsin, Iowa, Kentucky, Boston College, Purdue, Cincinnati and Indiana. Does Johnson know what he wants out of a school?
"I know I'm going to school for athletics, but I'm looking for a good education. I want to go into business management," he said. "Athletically I want to join a successful team and be able to come right in and have a chance for early playing time as much as possible. I don't think distance will be much of a factor for me."
Last season Johnson ran for 2,293 yards and 30 touchdowns. He earned all-conference, all-metro and Division 4 all-state as a junior.
This spring the running back prospect plans to attend the Nike Camp at Ohio State in May.
