Johnson has offer and favorite

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills linebacker0 Devan Johnson recently landed his first scholarship offer. However Johnson doesn't seem ready to commit anytime in the near future.
"I like Pitt, Temple, West Virginia, Penn State, Ohio State, Iowa, North Carolina State, North Carolina, schools like that," Johnson said. "Temple offered me."

The 6-foot-1 and 227-pound Johnson said he is beginning to receive calls from recruiters.
"Pitt and Temple called," Johnson said. "(Pitt) Coach Junko called. It went good. The Temple running backs coach called. I'm supposed to go to a junior day up there. I believe it's May 20.
"I'll probably visit West Virginia too. I'm going to Temple and West Virginia's camps I'm might go south for a couple camps too, but I'm not sure which ones."
Johnson is sure of his current favorite school.
"Pitt is my favorite," he said. "It's close to home and I like coach Junko. I think they are going to have a lot of success the next few years."
If Pitt extends a scholarship offer it would be hard for Johnson to turn down.
"I would probably commit, but who knows," Johnson said.
Johnson played tight end during his junior season, but will likely move to fullback and play linebacker during his senior season. He is being recruited for either of the latter two positions.
