Johnson expects to return by the tenth week of the regular season, or the playoffs.
The injury has not deterred recruiters.
"I'll be going to Virginia Tech, North Carolina, and Purdue for official visits sometime in the next two months," Johnson said. "And I'm looking at Arizona, Illinois, Syracuse, Ohio State, and Cincinnati.
"I have offers from Cincinnati, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Ohio University.
"I don't have a favorite.
"I went to the Ohio State-Texas game. It was great. Unfortunately they lost."
The 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Johnson is the No. 46 prospect in the state of Ohio in the Rivals.com player rankings. He is being recruited primarily as a wide receiver.
