Johnson gets back from in-state camp

Ponca City (Okla.) all-purpose back Josh Johnson has been keeping a low profile this summer but one camp trip highlighted this month.
A school that has been interested in offering the 5-foot-10, 204-pound two-way player is Tulsa and Johnson took in their camp last week. Did anything come out of the experience?

"They haven't offered yet, but I'll probably hear back from them on that pretty soon," Johnson said. "Them, and North Carolina, Iowa State, Oklahoma, OSU, Kansas State, and Kansas are really the ones I'm considering."
Iowa State and North Carolina are the first and the only two teams to have extended offers. Though Johnson maintains that he's wide open, Iowa State is definitely a school that has peaked his interest because of coach Barney Cotton.
"He's cool and we talk about all kinds of stuff," Johnson said. "I guess you could say they're a little bit ahead. It's just a good place and really good for my major in business."
After the football season, Johnson explained he will have a decision. He is rated as the No. 11 prospect in the state of Oklahoma.
