Johnson follows his heart

Brownwood, Texas wide receiver Bart Johnson had picked up a few Division II offers and one from Harvard. In the end, Johnson had to make a decision on where he wanted to be for the next four years and he followed his heart.
TCU was a school that had been talking to him about an offer, and though that never came, Johnson said that he still couldn't see himself anywhere else.

"I talked to TCU, and I'm headed there as a preferred walk-on," Johnson said. "I broke the Harvard thing off a while ago. Abilene Christian wanted me to play, but I'm set on TCU right now."
Johnson said that the in-state school was really always on his mind.
"It's the school of my choice," he said. "I love the town, the academics they provide, and once I found out about the preferred walk-on, I decided to take it."
Johnson had a solid junior season that included 32 receptions for 633 yards and four touchdowns.
