Johnson, Bryant package to Pitt

Pittsburgh (Pa.) North Hills running back Andrew Johnson is still a soft verbal commitment to the Pitt Panthers and, if a friend of his chooses Pitt as well, could be solid soon enough.
"If James Bryant commits to Pitt, I will be as solid as can be to them as well," said the 6-foot-0, 205-pounder. "James and I are very tight and we want to play together somewhere. Hopefully it can happen."

That's good news and bad news for Pitt fans. The good news is that Johnson is still committed to Pitt (albeit a soft commitment) and Bryant, the No. 6 inside linebacker in the country as ranked by Rivals.com, has a brother on the team and is also very high on the Panthers. The bad news?
"James (left) and I are taking our official visit together to Ohio State," said Johnson. "That's on Jan. 16. I go to UCLA on Jan. 9 but I cancelled Florida for Jan. 23. The Gators are taking only one running back and they got a commitment. It's down to Pitt, UCLA and OSU for me but, like I said, if James commits to Pitt then I'm solid."
And what about Johnson's other friend, superstar quarterback Anthony Morelli. Is he looking around?
"No," he said. "Anthony is going to Pitt."
