Johnson awaiting word on possible offers
Defensive end Brian Johnson continues to await word of offers. The 6-foot-3, 217-pounder is awaiting word from two schools about scholarships.
"All the coaches are on vacation and haven't gotten back to me yet," he said. "I think they are getting back this week or next.

"North Carolina sounds like they are very close to offering me. Tennessee said they could have some good news too.
"I'm really hopeful to find out because I want to get a commitment over with before the season starts."
Currently Johnson sits on offers from Miami (Ohio) and Western Carolina.
"Both schools have told me they really like my speed," he said. "Right now I'd say North Carolina and Tennessee are my favorites. I like the academic reputation at North Carolina and alumni support.
"I think Tennessee is the best football in the country. I like both coaching staffs a lot too."
