Johnson anxious to end process

A lot of high school seniors relish the spotlight that comes with the recruiting process. Quarterback Chris Johnson seems ready to get it over with. That's just what he plans to do later this month if his lone official visit goes as well as he hopes it does.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound quarterback from Philadelphia (Pa.) Roman Catholic has held an offer from Buffalo since the spring. The more he's learned about the Bulls, the more he likes them.

"I just picked up two new offers recently, from Maine and Villanova," Johnson said. "I'm going to visit Buffalo (January) 25. Hopefully I can get all this recruiting out of the way on the same day."
Why hasn't Johnson made his commitment yet?
"My parents thought I should wait to see what the school looks like before I commit anywhere," he said. "But I feel very comfortable with the coaches. Everybody has been recruiting me as a quarterback and that's what (Buffalo) has done too. They think I can come in and possibly play as a freshman. I'm ready to step into that role."
Johnson has also heard from the likes of Boston College, Michigan State, Rutgers and several other major programs, but said he is drawn to the idea of early playing time at Buffalo.
He does not have any other official visits planned.
