Jinks one to watch for 2011

Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller has one of the nation's most talented teams, especially in terms of FBS recruits. In the class of 2010, six players have FBS offers, including Notre Dame commitment Andrew Hendrix, Michigan State commitment Marcus Rush, and Wake Forest commitment Jeff Tanner.
The Fighting Crusaders' class of 2011 is starting to emerge as well. Defensive back Shaquille Jinks will be one of Ohio's better defensive backs next season.

"I am getting letters from Iowa State, Kansas, West Virginia, Cincinnati, and Indiana," Jinks said. "They have sent me questionnaires and they send letters that keep me updated on what is going on with their programs."
Jinks plans to take a first hand look at some of these schools after his season. He is already familiar with the Bearcats' program."
"It is kind of a tradition to watch Cincinnati and go to their games," Jinks said. "Over the years, UC has been moving up the ranks and winning big games. I honestly didn't think they would be where they are now, ranked in the top ten, things are going pretty good. Some people around here say they are better than Ohio State, I don't know about that yet."
Jinks hopes to hear from the Buckeyes as well.
"I never really thought about going to Ohio State until I looked at their program and how successful they have been over the years. I have not been there yet, hopefully I get a chance to experience that."
At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, Jinks feels he could play anywhere in the defensive backfield.
"I think I am versatile enough to play both corner and safety," Jinks said. "I don't know what I will play, but I feel I am athletic enough to play both. I am looking for a school that will allow me to be an athlete, run around and make plays."
Moeller is 8-0 this season, and the top ranked team in Ohio according to the RivalsHigh 100. The Crusaders finish out the regular season against Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward and Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier.
"This is what we have worked for. I think we are coming along more than people thought. People has Elder ahead of us, and we ended up beating them. This week we have St. Eds, then we have St. Xavier next week. It is really important to take this one game at a time. We don't want to slip this week before taking on St. Xavier."
