Jimmons acts quickly on USC offer

Liam Jimmons camped at USC this weekend, the coaching staff loved what they saw from him, they offered and the rest is history.
The three-star defensive end from Huntington Beach, Calif., ended his recruitment Sunday by committing to USC over a handful of others. It was his biggest offer by far, it's close to home and everything seemed to fit perfectly right for him to make a decision.

"They've been looking at him for a while," Huntington Beach coach Eric Lo said.
"They wanted to see him in person, (USC coach Steve Sarkisian) wanted to see him in person doing things and once they confirmed what everyone else was telling them, they went ahead and offered. Liam committed (Sunday)."
Colorado State, Fresno State, Nevada and many others were involved in Jimmons' recruitment but once USC offered everything made sense for him to make his commitment.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound three-star prospect has looked good playing some tight end during the 7on7 season but Lo said Jimmons is best along the defensive line.
That's where USC recruited him to play and Lo said his star player was thrilled to make the decision to play for the Trojans.
"He wanted to go there and it's USC and he's a Southern California kid," Lo said. "It's a really big deal to him and his family. He is over-the-moon excited.
"They recruited me as a defensive lineman. That's what he is. He's athletic enough to do some really good things on offense but he's a defensive lineman."
Jimmons is the second defensive lineman to commit to USC in as many days. La Mirada, Calif., three-star Keanu Saleapaga picked the Trojans on Saturday.
