Jerseys top RB lists four early

Junior to Watch: Dwayne Jones
School: Toms River North

Position: Running back
Size and speed: Dwayne is a very big back at 6-foot-1, 223 pounds and has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.45 seconds on numerous occasions. Jones is carrying a 2.7 GPA and scored a 940 on his PSAT, he will be a full qualifier.
Honors: As a Sophomore he earned second team all-shore and first team all-county honors.
Statistics: For the last two seasons Jones played for Lakewood, N.J.. As a junior he gained 953 yards on 103 carries with 12 touchdowns in only six games. As a sophomore, he had 1,067 yards and 13 scores.
Favorite Schools: Early in the recruiting process, Jones is favoring Boston College, Penn State, Wisconsin and Rutgers.
Skinny: Jones is one of the top three players in New Jersey and will be ranked as one of the top running backs in the country. He already has offers from Boston College, Wisconsin and Rutgers and will have more than a dozen before the end of May.
“I transferred to Toms River North for personal reasons and I’m looking to have a great senior year for them," said Jones. "I move well for a bigger back and I like to run with power. I also have breakaway speed so if I get to the outside, I don't expect to be caught."
Jones has been compared to former New Jersey high school star and current Cleveland Browns tailback William Green based on his size and speed. He expects to expand his list of favorites as coaches come through in May.
